Yesterday I had a talk with my friend about an incident that took place by the job that highlights our inability as humans to want to accept change. She talk about the very large sign the Cleary said ‘THE BUSS WILL NOT BE STOPPING AT THIS LOCATION’ but no one seems to care, everyone stood at the bus stop waiting as usual as if the sighn did not exist or was meaningless. The bus came and went while the people standing at the stop yelled for it to stop but as the sign said it just kept going. Despite the fact that the bus did not stop and the clearly placed sign there was still people waiting at that buss stop. 

 

How different are we as humans from animals that function on instinct. Sometimes it seems we are no different at all, we keep doing the same thing over and over even if it’s not successful as if there is not another way or instinctively we cannot possible change, just like the people waiting at the bus stop even though the buss will never stop and the sign clearly say so they keep waiting.

Are we still at the bus stop even today?
